Happy New Year everyone!!!! In the spirit of the New Year, we hope you’ll give us a reprieve for missing out on the last few weeks. We BOTH experienced some serious health issues and then coupled with the holiday, we got SERIOUSLY thrown off from online activities! (We share the details of the health stuff in our video)
The good news is, we are BACK! Our respective health is in a better place and we are ready to go.
Food: How’d We Do?
Khaleef: Because of my recent bout with Crohn’s disease, I haven’t been able to eat a lot of food. Without planning for it, I’m doing intermittent fasting! I usually don’t eat until dinnertime, but am able to get in close to my planned amount of calories (I’m not trying to starve my body).
Sherrian: I haven’t been eating the way I want to even though it hasn’t been terrible. I stayed below my calorie amount most days, but I am not hitting my macros as I should. I went to the Cheesecake factory for my birthday and definitely knew I couldn’t pay attention to nutritional facts for that outing!!!
Exercise: How’d We Do?
Khaleef: I haven’t been able to consistently go for walks since the Crohn’s attack happened a few weeks ago, so I’ve only hit my goal of at least 6,500 steps a couple of times since then.
Sherrian: I haven’t exercised really with everything going on. My migraines were pretty bad and then fatigue and body pain were there when the headaches weren’t.

Of course you do. We posted a video on our YouTube weight loss channel talking about our weight, getting a new start, and our goals for the upcoming week. Watch the videos below:
Sherrian: I lost 2 lbs last week! I am SO happy because I gained 3 pounds in the weeks we were MIA. That’s cool with me, though, because I am ready to more than make up for things!!!!!
Khaleef here: Last week I weighed 308.2 and this week I was 307.8, which is a loss of 0.4lbs for the week. I think that my numbers are going to look inconsistent until I get off of the steroids and am able to exercise (2 unrelated things).
You Want To Lose What?
You read that title correctly. We want to lose 250lbs combined. Once we are both comfortable with sharing our weight, then we will talk about how that goal breaks down between the two of us.
We have now lost 20.8lbs as a couple and have 229.2lbs to go in order to hit our goal.
So now this blog has turned into the story of us losing 250lbs while paying off over $100k of debt at the same time!
Next Week’s Focus:
Sherrian: Exercise! Exercise! Exercise! I also hope to hit (closer) to my macros and focus on water intake. I am shooting for a 2lb/week loss and I want to give it everything I can. I realize I have been coasting under the guise of not “going crazy”, but I have goals to meet and I need to push a little harder to get there!
Fat Guy (Khaleef is boring): I still want to get at least 6,500 steps in at least 5 days, but the frigid weather is going to make that extremely difficult. A friend gave me an exercise ball for Christmas so I can try to do exercises that strengthen my core without added strain on my back.
