So, on Monday night I got into a groove with writing and doing other things for my websites. I even posted a huge announcement on my YouTube weight loss channel (I will post the details here later). Unfortunately, I went to bed pretty late (after 2am) and I choose not to wake up at 4am for devotion and working out, as is my normal (almost) practice.
Since I didn’t want to have a series of rest days like I did last week, I decided to do my weightlifting routine in the evening after work. What was so great about this is that my wife was feeling well enough to join me. Because she suffers from migraines and fatigue, it is very difficult for her to do anything strenuous, and she isn’t able to join me.
I was thrilled to know that she was doing well enough (although, she was still far from ‘well’) to start her weight routine. Since this was her first time going through this routine, we had to take time to go through the proper form and to establish her starting weights.
It was great to be able to go through my routine with her, and the fact that we were working on her form during my rest periods made things go much faster. Also, she was able to see first hand that I need heavier weights…I’m not sure what the solution will be for this, but at least she was able to see my dilemma.
She had a hard time with some of the exercises, but she was determined to do them correctly and she really got into it. I am really proud of her for trying something relatively new – especially since she has been successfully losing weight without being able to exercise.
I love the fact that many of her muscles are sore today. That shows that she really focused on working her muscles, and wasn’t just going through the motions.
We both enjoyed ourselves and the plan is to adjust our evenings (mainly hers) so that we can both wake up at 4am for bible reading, prayer, and then on to our workouts.

This was so great to hear! Nothin better than doing something like that together. It will be so uplifting for you both. Great job to both of you!
Thank you Jules! It was so much fan, and it is something that I hope we can continue doing for a long time.
It is great how you support each other! My wife and I walk (30 minutes) after dinner when the weather cooperates. A little alone time away from TV and other distractions makes it really nice.

Yeah, it was great to just spend time with her like that. I’m hoping that we can incorporate 30 minute walks once it gets warm. I think it’s great that you guys do that together.
Working out together sounds awesome! My husband and I have been using the treadmill daily lately – but he runs first thing in the morning (while I shower and get ready for work), and I walk in the evening as soon as we get home from work (before dinner). We both enjoy it.. but I can’t help but thing how much more fun it’d be if we did it together.

Yeah, we usually have different schedules since I wake up at 4. This week things have just worked out so we could do it together. Do you think that you’d be willing to make a switch so you can workout together?
That’s awesome you both support each other and work together on achieving your goals of being for and healthy! When I met my fiancé we were both a little overweight and we were able to kick the habbit together. We both go to the gym/yoga a few times a week and heckle each other if the other is feeling lazy. It’s great to conqueror things together and as an added benefit you get to spend more time together!

I’m sure that the ‘heckling’ provides a lot of fun and motivation. I am looking forward to us doing this more often!
