So, I’ve been doing my new workout routine for the past week and I really enjoy it. Of course, the running is hard, but everything else is good.
I have been waking up between 5:30 and 5:45 most mornings in order to workout. It’s been a great feeling to know that I can discipline myself to do this – I am not a morning person at all!!
Today’s workout was probably the most fun! When I woke up, it was raining outside. Actually, I didn’t even realize this until I went outside to begin my routine.
I went ahead with my “marine workout“, and I really enjoyed myself. This was also the best that I’ve felt while running (although, I still look pathetic out there)! The cold rain falling on my face and arms felt great. It helped to keep me energized when my body wanted to quit.
Then I went inside and changed my sneakers (didn’t want to get the carpets wet and dirty) and went through the Slim In 6 DVD. Then, back outside again for another short run in the rain!
After my workout was the big moment…
Week 1 Weigh In
I have to admit that is wasn’t a very dramatic moment, since I weigh myself every day! However, I was excited because it would be “official” today – one week after finding out that I gained 13lbs since the first Fat Guy Challenge!
After completely slacking off leading up, during, and after our move, I was up to 287lbs!!! That means that after losing 16lbs during my first challenge, I gained all but 3 of them back.
Well, this morning when I got on the scale after my rain run, I weighed…
280.0lbs
That means I lost 7lbs in the last 7 days! I know that I won’t be able to continue losing 1lb per day, but I think this was a good start.
I definitely won’t let this get to my head, since I have a looooooooooong road ahead of me, and I have failed in the past after great starts. I’ll just be sure to stay consistent with all of my workouts, succeeding in the push ups challenge, and eating healthy.
I may be working out with my trainer tomorrow, so I’ll let you know how that goes.

Congrats on getting back on track and seeing progress. A pound a day is great.
I find you can fluctuate a bit even when you are doing all the things you should so remember that.
Looking forward to the next update.

That’s awesome! As long as you cut out sugary drinks, you should see those pounds drop dramatically.

I’m still on the first level! I guess it’s turning into Slim in 10 for me!
Thanks everyone! I know not to expect these types of results – and I haven’t been replicating them either – but it was a great start!
