The last time I posted one of these accountability articles, I was telling you about how busy my life had been and how difficult it was for me to stick to a consistent eating plan. It wasn’t that my choices were unhealthy, it was just that they were inconsistent – some days I was well under my calorie target, while others I wasn’t even able to track my macros.
For the last few weeks, I have made what I eat the highest priority (outside of God, of course). I made sure to track every bite that went into my mouth, paying attention to hitting my macro-nutrient goals.
In fact, for the last two weeks, we had huge bulk cooking sessions to prepare all of our meals for the week at once. We weighed, measured, and packed each meal so that I already knew how many calories, fat, protein, fiber, and carbs I was eating.
Each week I make a slideshow of all of my meals and snacks, and post it to my weight loss & fitness channel on YouTube.
So…here’s what I had (remember to click through to the post [click the title above] or the videos on YouTube [by clicking the title of the video] if you are reading via email):
I definitely did a much better job of eating vegetables with most of my meals, and my eating was much more balanced than before. I am pleased with our meal planning and eating for the last few weeks and I hope that this trend can continue. I feel that we are more in control of things than ever before!
