Last week was anything but normal. My wife went to a conference in another state on Thursday, I was out of town on Friday and Saturday, and only home for about an hour of my time awake on Sunday.
I upgraded my workout, but because of the abnormal schedule, I wasn’t able to do it every day. I spent the night in my friend’s camper on Friday, and we had a mini workout together Saturday morning.
I’ll let you watch the video below for all of the details, including Kelly (from MeMyScalenandI.com) and her daughters prodding me to get a huge dessert!
Anyway, on to the video and then to the numbers…
And here is a direct link to the video on YouTube
I have become a lot more active on YouTube (I’m posting daily videos now), Pinterest, and Facebook, so be sure to connect with me there. I plan to post a lot of small updates, health tips that I learn, good articles, and other things that don’t warrant a full blog post, onto those sites. Be sure to leave comments so I know you’re there.
I had no idea what to expect from the scale this time, but all I know is that I don’t want to see 250 again (if you want to see the details for all weeks, just click here)…
Now On To The Weigh In
Week 0 (First Weigh In) – 287
Week 4– 276.4
Week 8 – 266.6
Week 12 – 258.6
Week 16 – 256.0
Week 20 – 258.0
Week 24 – 253.8
Week 28 – 248.0
Week 30 – 249.4
Week 31 – 249.4!!!
So, my weight didn’t change at all. I am hoping that a new workout and a small dietary change will help me to break through this plateau. I am going to refrain from eating after 9pm. This is what I did initially and I think it was a part of my early success.
This keeps my 31-week weight loss total at 37.6 lbs, and 42.6 lbs from my all-time high.
Oh, and if you are not subscribed to my YouTube channel (what’s wrong with you???), then you can see a couple of my videos in my Fat Guy Follies #2 post.

Hey at least you aren’t gaining weight. I haven’t been doing the best lately but I’m still working to try to stay on track. I’m glad you seem more dedicated than I am!

maintenance always trumps gain! The calories you’ll save from not eating after 9 will add up. Are you still following the basic diet you were before along with juicing?

Yeah, we are still having a smoothie and vegetable juice every day (when things are normal). Hopefully we can have a couple of normal weeks so I can see some progress.
Great video and congrats on the progress! I just changed up my work out too so I know how great that can be

Thanks! Hopefully, things will calm down at home for me so I can get into the new workout. Also, we are looking to see exactly how our new diet will affect our budget.
I like your video post. I will pray you overcome your plateau.

Thanks Jeff. I probably won’t know if this is effective until week 35 or 36.
