Last week I wrote to you guys and told you about our first attempt at bulk cooking. We learned a few things from that first experience, and tried to apply them this time. The main thing was trying to prepare a variety of sides that would compliment each other as well as the protein source of each meal.
We made a wider variety of food this time, and my wife made a few combination dishes, which made things even more convenient. Here are some pictures of the process:
As you can see, we had a large amount of meats and sides to eat over the next week or so. I go over what everything is in the video. However, here is a picture of each combination, as well as the salad that I took on a few days:
Here are a couple of pictures of the end result. We weighed, measured, and packed away enough meals to cover the entire week, and even decided on the combinations for each day! That means that all we have to do is open the refrigerator and pull out the meals for the day. I even started using a bigger lunch bag to carry everything.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll be able to see all of my meals, snacks, protein shakes, and everything else I put into my mouth throughout the day. Here is the video where I go over all of the meals in detail and talk about our plans…don’t worry, it’s shorter than the last one 😉
As you can see, even though we cooked more food this time, we were more organized and actually took less time than we did the first week.
