There were a couple of small things that happened over the weekend that I wanted to share with you, but they didn’t warrant an individual post. So I decided to put them all together in 1 post.
Our Juicing/Smoothie Video
First, I did a video this weekend showing all of the vegetables that we are able to consume each day as part of our modified juice fast. I actually walk you through making the smoothie that we have every day, mainly to offset some of the dangers of doing a juice fast (and it tastes pretty good as well ;-)).

As you can see, we try to put a lot of thought into the ingredients of our smoothie (sometimes we put spinach in as well), but we are definitely open to suggestions/questions/comments about what we are doing.
If you have read any of my weigh ins, you already know that I don’t want to purchase any new clothing before I hit my ultimate weight-loss goal. I have already lost 40 lbs, but I probably have another 40 or 50 to go! It would be a waste of money if I purchase clothes for my current size, and then have to do it all over again in a few months.
However, more and more people have been commenting on my extremely baggy clothing, so I know that I have to do something. Throughout all of this, there was one thing that I had forgotten…I didn’t gain 100 lbs overnight! That means, that I have a good amount of clothing from when I was this size (on my way up), that I stopped wearing because they no longer fit.
This weekend my wife took out some of my old clothes from the back of the closet for me to try on. Below is a picture of what I was able to fit comfortably, and will now be adding back into my wardrobe:
Click on the picture in order to see a larger version. What I just now realize is that we forgot to put a few of the shirts that I had tried on earlier in the day, into this picture. I think there should be at least 3 or 4 more dress shirts included! Also, I had a few shirts that I could get away with wearing, but I don’t want to until I lose another inch or two from my belly.
I Don’t Know My Own Strength
Since I’ve been doing the 2nd DVD in the Debbie Siebers’ Slim in 6 series (Ramp it Up), I have been using resistance bands for her strength training section. I don’t like resistance bands because it always feels as though I am going to rip them or something. Also, it is impossible to track your progress or even be consistent from day to day (unless you somehow mark the bands for each exercise).
Well, guess what happened the other day…
Take a look at the middle portion of the top of the picture. Do you see that tiny piece that is not connected to the band? That’s right, I broke the thickest resistance band that we own. I don’t care too much, since it now gives me a chance to use dumbbells instead.
I actually purchased a pair of adjustable dumbbells, and I will be creating a couple of videos showing them in use.
One of my best friends and biggest supporters (a.k.a. My Kelly) has lost nearly 17 lbs in 6 weeks! Please take a few seconds to show her some support and encouragement.
