Free Redbox Codes

After writing about 8 frugal Valentine’s Day ideas the other day for my main site, I began to see a few other suggestions around the internet. I happened to find this offer for free Redbox codes for Valentine’s Day on Faithful Provisions.

Get Your Free Redbox Codes

The offer is pretty simple: Redbox is actually offering free Redbox codes through it’s Facebook page. You can send your loved one a special Valentine’s Day message, and a code to get a free DVD rental! Also, if you just enter the code “BEMINE” at any Redbox kiosk (sorry, the offer is not good online), and get a free night’s rental! You can click here to find the nearest Redbox kiosk.

How Can I Use These Free Redbox Codes?

For those who are not familiar with the service, here’s how it works. You can rent up to five movies and two video games every time you visit (after your first time…which is limited to three and one respectively). The movies are due back by 9:00 PM the day after you rent them.

It seems like most (if not all) of their selections are available to rent for only $1 per day! I’m not 100% sure about this since I don’t have an account, and the website is pretty secretive about the pricing. I’ve seen these kiosks all over – in shopping plazas, in front of convenience stores, at Wal-Marts, in the local supermarkets, etc.

Once you get to the kiosk and are ready to rent your movie, you then enter your code so you get a one night rental for free! Don’t worry about the selection, you can check online to make sure that the kiosk you visit has the movie that you want to rent.

I think that staying indoors and watching a free movie is a great way to spend February 14th! It definitely beats a crowded restaurant in my estimation.

How are you going to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
