Another week of trying to lose 250lbs and pay off over $100k in debt has gone by. We managed to lose a pound despite not having a good week. We’re still not happy…
After coming back from our trip to Virginia our bodies felt beat up and we were exhausted for much of the week. We ended up listening to our bodies and taking several days off just to rest. I still managed to get over 70k steps for the work week and I won a step competition but lost in another.
Because of how we felt, we didn’t do our grocery shopping as planned and had to eat out more than we wanted or expected. This week was extremely busy and stressful for me at work and Sherrian spent most of the time trying to catch up on her work. The “rest week” definitely didn’t mean that we weren’t busy.
We are both sleeping better but not as much as we need to. Sherrian found something that works well to get her to sleep and for me, getting over 20k steps a day is doing it. Sherrian is in a lot of pain every day and has been dealing with pretty bad headaches/migraines. The summer is usually a bad time with the heat and humidity.
We had a great dinner on Saturday with friends! We love how they ate. The variety – the appetizer could have been dinner. We’ve said for years that we want to eat more like that but it’s not easy to pull off.
Sherrian needs to do her various stretching every day and I need to test out how my body responds to “real” exercise so I can come up with a plan to do more than walking.
