274.4 – I haven’t seen a weight that high on the scale in almost 3 years! 18 months ago I was down to 226lbs. That was the lowest weight that I have ever seen in about 16 or 17 years. The only thing I could think about was getting into the teens and then singles digits, performing a countdown to being out of the 200s for good!
Ultra-low testosterone (read about my testosterone replacement therapy here), a back injury, shin injury, and a host of other things have drained me of my motivation and determination. It comes and goes at times, but overall has been absent.
I am determined to take control of my health once again! I am “recommitting” myself to my fat loss and overall fitness goals (including powerlifting and running)! I also plan to see a sports injury doctor in order to figure out exactly what’s going on with my lower back and shin – my guess is that my tight ankles and hips are the culprit.
Today is officially day 1. I am going to weigh myself every morning and post a picture of it on Instagram. I am also going to post the summary of my food log at the end of each day, along with a picture of each meal/snack. So if you follow me on Instagram or have liked my Facebook page, prepare for multiples pics each day (including workouts)!
I need to do this in order to stay accountable and finally put this weight loss part of my life behind me!
What I Need From You
Here is what I am asking you to do. Hold me accountable. Follow me on social media (including Twitter and YouTube), and if you notice that I’ve gone a couple of days without posting something, contact me and ask me what’s going on.
If I go more than a week without posting an update on the blog, send me a message. Don’t let me give up or get comfortable.
I will be posting a detailed plan within the next few days (call me out if I don’t) going over my calorie & macro goals, along with my work out plan.
