I don’t have a whole lot to say about this week’s weigh in. As I wrote the other day, I had a great workout on Saturday, but I ate with very little discipline over the weekend.
It was my goal to come in under 275, but obviously that didn’t carry over into my actions.
Alright, I won’t talk about my weekend eating any more (I don’t want Krantcents to yell at me again
). The scale went in the right direction, and I know what I need to do better this week.
On a good note, I did the Debbie Siebers’ Slim In 6 routine yesterday and it felt great. It’s not as intense as the circuit, but it’s still a great mix of cardio and strength training.
Now it’s time for my weigh in. I’ll give you the numbers from my last few weeks as a comparison.
Week 0 (First Weigh In) – 287
Week 1 -280.0
Week 2 – 279.2
Week 3 – 278.0
Week 4 – 276.4
This means I only lost 1.6 pounds in 7 days…not the results I was looking for. However, that just means that next week should be a big improvement.
For now, I’ll take 11.6lbs in 4 weeks, but I hope the next 4 weeks look a little better. My main focus now is trying to manage goals, so I can see the big picture, but still stay motivated by small victories.

Quit beating yourself up. 1.6 is a good number. It’s moving in the right direction and that’s all that counts. Especially around the holidays. Keep up the good work!
(standing in for Krantcents today, I guess.)

With all of the work I’m putting in, I really want to see a couple of weeks with big numbers. I’m glad it’s moving in the right direction, so I won’t get down…just motivated!
Don’t get discouraged! 10 lbs in 4 weeks is good, steady and sustainable progress!
Well done and keep it up!

I have big expectations about next week, so we’ll see if I can bring up the average.
Stay encouraged! Keep up the great work. The hare didn’t win the race, yknow! Have you ever tried Body Pump? My fiancee says she LOVES it and includes all your weight lifting at once in a circuit way. It’s great. She hates lifting independently, so for her it is an awesome alternative.

I never head of Body Pump. Maybe once I’m ready to move on from my current circuit I can give that a try. I’m always willing to try new things.
Don’t get discouraged. You are so close – that difference of 1-2lbs to your goal could have been water weight that fluctuates during the day. You’ve made good progress so keep it up!

I usually try to avoid that by weighing myself in the morning right after a workout – even before I drink anything. I actually weigh myself every day, so I do notice fluctuations. I’m looking for another break though week.
Hey you lost weight, that’s what counts. Don’t beat yourself up!
Just keep going ~ 1.6 pounds is still a loss. Incremental losses add up over time. The holidays are a very difficult time to stick with a weight loss/exercise program so I think you are doing great!

I have a soft goal to be at or under 260 by 1/1/12…let’s see how I do!
Remember your body will fluctuate. As long as you have continuous loss week to week you are doing great. Don’t get too discouraged. You are still headed in the right direction.
Setbacks are part and parcel of every long term goal. Good that you realized that, that’s half the battle own. Good luck for next week
