My Week 26 Weigh In – I Lost 40 lbs In 6 Months!

I had an excellent week last week. I woke up early to read the bible each morning, then I got in a few intense workouts as well. Even though I hate running, I still managed to run/walk for at least a mile after my workouts.

I think I have a good mix going for my daily vegetable/fruit juice, and I have actually started having it more than once a day! I plan to write more about what I am doing tomorrow, but for the bulk of the 6 month period I have stuck pretty close to my healthy fats “diet”!

I am still doing the 2nd DVD in the Debbie Siebers’ Slim in 6 series (Ramp it Up), instead of doing my normal “marine workout“ (ok, it’s not really a workout taken from the USMC or anything, but since my marine buddy showed it to me, that’s what I’ll call it). The workout is hard, especially because Debbie works your entire body, but that is why I enjoy it so much! I will still use my other workout when I am running low on time.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to incorporate my push up workouts into my evenings, so I am not sure if I will be ready to compete with my uncle this weekend. I have been filled with energy lately, and I am extremely competitive, so I may still give it a shot. 😉 Even if I don’t show huge improvements by the end of this week, I still think my round 3 video for the 100 push ups challenge will be much better than the last one!

My impossible goal from 3 weeks ago – to lose 22.8 lbs by Memorial Day weekend (approximately 21 days) – is pretty much out of reach, but I will still give it my best!

I have been battling against 250 lbs for a long time (I first dropped under 260 back in week 11). That number has been taunting me and laughing at me for a few months now, and I am ready to finally kick it right in the mouth!!! 😡

I finally got under 250 lbs! What really feels great about this number is that I didn’t just slip in at 249.9 or something, I am a full 3 lbs under! This makes me even more motivated to get as far away from this number as possible. I never want to see it again.

I managed to lose 4.4 lbs last week, and that is very encouraging. My clothes are starting to fit a little funny, and I may have to buy a couple of things to hold me over until I reach my ultimate goal.

In order to meet my  Memorial Day Weekend goal (237 lbs), I still have to lose 10 lbs over the next 5-7 days (depending on when I weigh myself)! Again, it probably won’t happen, but that doesn’t mean I won’t push myself to meet my goal – in a healthy manner, of course.

This brings my 26-week, 6 month weight loss total to 40.0 lbs, and 45.0 lbs from my all-time high.

Thank you so much for your support, Jessica! We have a “clothing” line in our budget, but that usually just goes toward paying off debt. I guess I’ll have to stick with the budget pretty soon.

Congrats is in order for Skinner Guy Skinny Wallet! OK, so not the best rebrand, I’ll admit it. Anyways seriously congratulations. We had a birthday lunch at work today at the Chinese buffet and I definitely ate way too much… I must avoid Chinese buffets was my conclusion.

Hahaha…I’ll have to work on what the new brand will be. Buffets are very hard to manage because you feel as though you have to “get your money’s worth”, and that forces you to overeat. At least, that’s been my experience!

Thanks Sam! Keeping this weight off better be easy, since I have another 40-60 to go. Congratulations on dropping the weight that bugged you earlier this year – even though I hate those charts that tell you what you should weigh. I like that you tried to change your lifestyle to cut out many of our pointless, lazy, indulgences!

Nice work on breaking 250! That’s awesome! Also try not to go too crazy with purchasing new clothes because they will keep not fitting right as you go. I’m in that boat now too as I’m trying to get back to my pre-last fall and fall-off the gym bandwagon weight. It’s so tempting though to reward yourself but you are smart to keep your eyes on the long term prize 🙂

Thanks! I still don’t want to buy new clothes, so I’m really dragging my feet on that. People are starting to point out how baggy they are, but I still refuse to waste all that money.

Well, I followed a personal diet and lost around 8 kgs in a month!

To sum it up

~Lots of proteins rich and green veggies
~No sugar/dairy/processed stuff.

That’s it and it worked pretty good.
