My Week 34 Weigh In – Should I Really Bother Posting This?

Weigh In

If you remember my weigh in from last week (linked below), you’ll know that I wasn’t expecting anything to change with this current weigh in. All of the chaos that surrounded the last two months for us didn’t really end last week. Although, we made attempts to get back into our normal routines, we are still playing “catch up”.

I won’t pick on my buddy Jessica this week. By the way, she blogs over at Budget For Health, and she has quickly become one of my favorite writers – so please take a moment to visit her blog.

I’ll just remind you that I am actually recording myself stepping onto the scale now – just so you can see the number right when I see it (just ignore the fact that I recorded the video on Monday morning ;0)).

Anyway, on to the video and then to the numbers…

And here is a direct link to the video on YouTube, in case you are reading this via email.

I have become a lot more active on YouTube (I’m posting daily videos now), Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, so be sure to connect with me there. I plan to post a lot of small updates, health tips that I learn, good articles, and other things that don’t warrant a full blog post, onto those sites. Be sure to leave comments so I know you’re there.

I had no idea what to expect from the scale this time, but after the stretch that I’ve had over the past few weeks (actually, 5 or 6 weeks), I didn’t think it would be good. I’m actually a little shocked that it wasn’t higher. Here are the numbers (if you want to see the details for all weeks, just click here)…

Now On To The Weigh In

Week 0 (First Weigh In) – 287

Week 4– 276.4

Week 8 – 266.6

Week 12 – 258.6

Week 16 – 256.0

Week 20 – 258.0

Week 24 – 253.8

Week 28 – 248.0

Week 33 – 250.2

Week 34 – 250.2!!!

I stayed at exactly the same weight as last week. With all that was going on, I’m actually a little surprised that I didn’t have a small gain. I guess eating right paid off. I knew that I wouldn’t have a loss, so there really isn’t more for me to say.

I am just hoping to drop back under 250 for week 35! This keeps my 34-week weight loss total at 36.8 lbs, and 41.8 lbs from my all-time high.

Yo Khaleef! Congrats on getting down to 250! Remind us again what your weight goal is?

Have you tried going vegetarian a couple days a week or eating lots of row foods and juices for meals? It helped me out a lot.

All the best!

Hey Sam,

I don’t have an actual goal weight right now. At the beginning I said that I wanted to get down to 190. However, I’m not sure how my body will look 60 lbs lighter – everyone who knows me thinks I would look sickly if I lost another 60 lbs, but I don’t agree.

We are actually having a smoothie for lunch every day, and (for the most part) having a vegetable juice for dinner. Something like this:

We have essentially given up eating meat. We don’t buy it anymore, so we never have it at home; but we wouldn’t turn it down at a friend’s house or restaurant.

Keep at it and yes you should continue posting these 🙂 Even if you don’t lose any weight a 0 change is awesome in my mind especially if things aren’t going normal.

Fat Guy July 25, 2012 at 2:18 pm

Yeah, I’ll keep posting these. If I only show good things, I will never be accountable!

Julie @ Freedom 48 July 22, 2012 at 10:11 pm

I truly believe you should keep posting – it’s a great way to stay accountable. Plus, we all enjoy cheering you on! =)

Thanks Julie! It really does help to know that people are watching me.

tricky tricky! your title made it seem like it was going to be bad news. I’m glad it’s not! I’m confident your lifestyle choices will lead to long term weight loss and maintenance. One week may not feel like much difference but it produces a lifetime effect.

Fat Guy July 25, 2012 at 2:20 pm

Well, it wasn’t great news either…I guess I like to be tricky. 😉

I am really looking forward to what the next month has in store for me.

Hey man, congrats on staying the same weight! With all your working out, maybe you’ve built up enough muscle that small slip ups get consumed by the muscle you have. Muscle tends to be calorie-hungry!

Fat Guy July 25, 2012 at 2:21 pm

Thanks! I know that I have definitely gotten a lot stronger since I started. With adding strenuous running to my routine, I hope to burn up a lot more fat and stimulate more muscle growth with my weight training.
