So even though this is the first weigh-in on the site since I’ve decided to make fat loss my highest health priority, this is actually week #4. I’ve posted the other updates on my YouTube channel, and I plan to post them in both places from now on. I think I was 249.8 when I made this shift in focus, so that will be my official starting weight on this leg of my weight loss.
Anyway, now that the numbering explanation is taken care of, let’s get on to the important numbers:
A Recap Of The Past Week
Unfortunately, I’ve had a bad pain in my heel every day for the past week. Because of that, I haven’t been able to work toward my running goals (I’m taking on the 500-mile challenge) or my powerlifting goals during the week. Actually, I wasn’t able to do any workouts at all (not even my old HIIT or Walk Away The Pounds).
I did do quite a bit of stretching and foam rolling throughout the week, and I am hoping that I will noticed increased flexibility when I am able to return to the gym.
My eating over the last week (actually, the last 4) has been as close to perfect as it could be. I have tracked my food every day, and I have been able to come close to my target macros as well.
I dropped my daily caloric intake down to 2,000 calories since I wasn’t able to make it into the gym. I also moved my macros around and I will be talking about my new targets & nutritional goals in a future article. I’ll just mention that my main focus was increasing my carb intake.
Week 4 Weigh In
As I said above, I am using 249.8 as my starting weight (week 0). Last week I was 243.0, which was a loss of 2.4lbs from the previous week (245.4). I was trying to find some way to make the weigh in really suspenseful, but that’s kinda hard since all you have to do is scroll down. 😀
Alright, so when I got on the scale this week, here is what it said…
So that means I had a loss of 4.2lbs this week. A week where I did no exercise and increased my carbs! Overall, that brings my 4-week loss to 11lbs! Here is the video of my weigh in and reflection on the week (remember, if you are reading this via email, you will have to click through to the site to watch):
I am excited about this, and I hope to keep up this momentum – not necessarily with the amount of weight, but just the consistency of my actions!
