New Workout Means New Soreness!

So last night we decided to use a different workout DVD. Normally, we will do the Leslie Sansone’s Walk Slim – 4 Fast Miles DVD, followed by the Debbie Siebers’ Slim in 6 stretching routine! The 4 mile walk video is 46 minutes, and the stretching is 14.

Well, if you’ve ever done a Leslie Sansone workout, you’ll probably agree that her talking can get a tad bit annoying – especially if you hear the same jokes every day! So we decided to give another one of her videos a try. Since I was feeling so energetic from the last workout, I gave Leslie Sansone’s Walk At Home – 5 Mile Walk a try.

My Battle With Leslie Sansone Continues

Now, we’ve used this video before, but since it’s been a while since I’ve consistently worked out, I’ve forgotten most of the jokes and motivational talk. Apparently, I also forgot that the video is 66 minutes long, and that each mile is it’s own mini workout!

It might have slipped my mind how much more challenging a workout can become just by adding a couple of 2 pound hand weights! I was able to maintain my breath throughout the workout, but it still was a challenge!

I love working out with my wife – especially when we make jokes about the video, or talk about our day. Sometimes, we will even talk about spiritual things! It really makes the workout seem much shorter.

The Aftermath Of Leslie Sansone’s Latest Attack

After the workout, I felt great! That feeling lasted about 3 minutes. Then I felt so sore and fatigued! I’m usually good until the morning, so it was a little strange that I would feel sore so soon after the workout!

Then I felt a pain running down (or up, I’m really not sure) my sciatic nerve that lasted the rest of the night. I woke up this morning with some soreness, but the pain in my sciatic nerve was gone!

Mmmm Chili

Drooling Homer Simpson

During the day, I had my typical lunch and snacks – Wheat Thins, an apple, Greek Yogurt and Triscuit Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil crackers. Then my wife made a delicious pot of chili last night! I had it with rice and green beans.

I was going to take some leftovers for lunch today, but then I decided to save it for dinner tonight! Something else to look forward to this evening!

My favorite character ever! But it’s so hard to find pictures of The Simpsons that I can use for the site.

Thanks for reading the post!

Isn’t it great to be able to work out with your spouse?! I think it’s great as well. Hopefully, you can share your stories here – once I have readers to read them! ;-)

Thanks for the comment, Barb!
