It’s been a while since I posted an update on my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). The last time I wrote to you about my TRT, I had somewhat good news to tell you. At that time my total testosterone went from 158 ng/dL in my previous test up to 417! That was enough to put me in the “normal” range (barely), but still low for my age and activity level.
However, when I just got my most recent testosterone replacement therapy blood test results, that upward trend did not continue.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy Blood Test Results
Not only did my testosterone levels drop out of the normal range, but I saw the 2nd lowest result since this whole thing began about 17 months ago! My latest testosterone replacement therapy blood test results actually showed my total testosterone level to be 160 ng/dL! The only test that came back lower was the one that I took in last November.
Recent Low Testosterone Symptoms
Fortunately, I haven’t felt the same level of mental or physical fatigue that I did when this all began, but it still has been bad. Also, it’s been very difficult for me to fall asleep lately. I know these things can’t be pinned exclusively on the low testosterone – I have been in a slump for a very long time – but I know that these most recent testosterone replacement therapy blood test results are a huge part of the problem.
I keep stressing the fact that these results are with me already being on TRT. It’s not like this isn’t being treated. In fact, I’m taking the same dose that caused my testosterone levels to shoot above the high threshold of the normal range! Something else is going on to cause this drop. The lack of sleep and inability to work out (leading to a massive weight gain) are probably contributing to the problem.
I am still taking vitamin D3 and zinc, but without being able to get enough sleep each night or continue on my fat loss plan. Ultimately, I do think that I will need to change the method of my testosterone replacement therapy. I have been on this gel for over a year and haven’t seen any improvements or even stability!
Here is the video that I posted to my YouTube channel about these latest testosterone replacement therapy blood test results (<—click the link if reading via email):
Once I am able to speak with the doctor, I’ll post an update (probably on my YouTube weight loss channel first).
