Yesterday was the 27th day of the first Fat Guy Challenge, and the 6th day of the 4th week! That means that the challenge is almost over!
After the first three weeks, I managed to lose 9.6lbs, with only minimal exercise.
***[See how I did on each day during the first 3 weeks of the challenge] – You can read our motivation for doing this, as well as the details of the challenge at the first link above. Our main goal is to lose 25lbs combined by June 4th, or there will be severe consequences! I am responsible for 15 of those pounds!***
Here is my assessment of day 27:
For the first week of the challenge, we decided to drastically reduce our carbohydrate intake to under 20 grams each day. Thankfully, that restriction was only in place for the first week. Then we moved that amount up to 60 grams per day, with two “carb load” days each week.
Now, we have decided to count calories, and to keep track of certain macro and micro nutrients as well. I think that this is a better overall approach, and it will ensure that we are not going too far in any particular direction.
In the morning, after my workout I had the Special K2O Strawberry Kiwi Powder in water, and then the Green Vibrance Powder with water as well. I also took my Animal Pak (a group of supplements), just to round out all of my supplements!
My breakfast consisted of 2 eggs with cheese and 2 pieces of turkey bacon (a total of 260 calories). Then in the afternoon, I had a serving of string cheese.
After my evening workout, I had a Smart One (a 280 calorie frozen dinner) along with the rest of the beef.
I drank a total of 134 oz of water – I think I’m back on track with this!
We were able to workout in the morning again! We did the Leslie Sansone’s Walk Slim – 4 Fast Miles DVD once again, and I put up with the 46 minutes.
In the evening, we did the Debbie Siebers’ Slim In 6 workout, and it felt like such a challenge to get through it! However, once I finished and took a shower, I had a lot of energy again.
That’s why I’m still up at 2:34am writing about my day!
Now I am up to 6 workouts in 4 days…I hope I can keep this up!
There was no temptation to eat out at all. I don’t want to lose this challenge because I lacked discipline during the last week!
We just took care of business and God blessed our efforts to be disciplined. <— I am hoping to be able to write that phrase every day of this challenge!
