Hey guys! Another week has passed, so it’s time to give you an update on my week regarding my health and fitness goals. I meant to do this 2 days ago, but my life has been packed and this is the first chance I have to sit and reflect…
A Recap Of The Past Week
I feel like I can copy and paste the first 2 sentences from the previous week! Even though I am still struggling with getting enough sleep at night, I was still able to make it into the gym 3 times last week! I feel like my powerlifting is back on track, and I am hoping to return to my full gym schedule within a week or two. – Ok, so I really did just copy/paste that 😉
The good new is that I was able to get outside twice during the last week for runs. The bad news is that I had to cut the first run short after only 1 mile because I felt an extremely tightness in the muscles around my shin (only on the left side). It was so tight that it felt swollen and I could barely flex my foot:
I felt sick on Monday, so I stayed home from work; but once I started feeling better in the early evening, I decided to hit the gym. Once I got home after a 2 hour session, I realized that I still had to run in order to meet a goal that I set in my mastermind group the week before – the group was meeting in an hour! Of course, this was after I already showered, drank a large smoothie, and started to relax. 😯
Anyway, that run was pretty fun because I proved to myself that I could fight through how I was feeling and get it done.
For the most part, my eating went according to plan. Unfortunately, things fell apart over the weekend as I had a few things that I didn’t expect to have, and, in my opinion, I lost control!
I actually plan to write a post detailing the weekend as well as the terrible session I had afterwards. But outside of that, we had meals already prepared for the week, so it was easy to stay on track with everything!
Week 13 Weigh In
Last week I weighed in at 237.0, which was a loss of 0.8lbs from the previous week. This week when I weighed myself, I was…
I had a huge meal the night before weighing myself, so that’s what I think was going on here. If that is the case, I should see this number go down fairly quickly.
Actually, I am expecting to have a great week both in the gym and with my nutrition; so despite what happened this weekend (the post about it will be up on Friday), I am very excited about the next few weeks!
