On top of my busy stretch continuing, I was very sick last week! That had a huge impact on my eating and workouts. Since I didn’t have an appetite on most days, I had to force myself to eat so that I wouldn’t be starving myself. I only went to work one day last week, and I didn’t hit the gym at all.
So let’s see how that affected the scale!
A Recap Of The Past Week
As I wrote above, I didn’t hit the gym at all last week. I am a little frustrated because that makes 2 weeks in a row. If you recall, my gym was closed the previous week due to renovations.
Since we have been getting an insane amount of snow and ice, I haven’t been able to get outside to run either.
My wife and I plan to get to the gym this week (since I am starting to finally feel better), and I’ll be able to get in some miles and the treadmill and get closer to my goal of running 500 miles this year as well as meeting my powerlifting goals.
As I mentioned above, my eating was sporadic because I didn’t have an appetite for most of the week. So I spent a large part of my days drinking tons of water (I probably had over 200 ounces a day), still feeling thirsty, and not thinking about food. When I did finally eat, I had to squeeze a lot of calories into 1 or 2 meals.
This wasn’t a huge problem, since this pretty much fits my normal style of eating (I loosely follow the intermittent fasting principles); however, since I didn’t have much of an appetite when I did choose to eat, it was much tougher than usual.
Week 9 Weigh In
Last week I weighed in at 238.4, which was a small gain (0.6lbs) from the previous week. This week when I weighed myself, I was…
That’s a loss of 0.4lbs for the week. My main focus right now is regulating my sleep and getting back to my powerlifting and running. Once I can do that consistently again, I will be happy!
